This is a call for abstracts for a doctoral colloquium to be held on 28 October 2016 by the Centre for Service Excellence (CenSE), University of Edinburgh Business School.

The doctoral colloquium will take place within CenSE's inaugural conference, titled: 'The future of the service sector', which will comprise a series of academic and practitioner roundtables and a keynote lecture by Professor Christian Grönroos (Hanken School of Economics, Finland).

We invite PhD students to present either a paper or poster during the colloquium. In order to apply, you need to submit a 400 words abstract of your research. We accept either empirical and theoretical pieces of research covering a variety of relevant topics on service research including (but not limited to) service innovation, service marketing, public and non-for-profit services, service operations, value co-creation and service design.

An expert panel will assess all abstracts, selecting up to 10 papers for full presentation and a maximum of 20 posters to be presented at the colloquium and during the Conference’s lunch respectively.

We welcome presentations from students at any stage of their PhD’s and from all aspects of Service Management. The doctoral colloquium is free of charge and students who have full papers or posters accepted will be entitled to attend the main conference.
