CenSE is delighted to announce the appointment of Sophie Flemig as Assistant Director to the Centre. With the continuing growth and impact of CenSE both upon the service management research community and upon policy and practice, her role will be to assist the Co-Directors of CenSE in delivering its increasing portfolio of research and engagement activities.
“This appointment reflects two things”, said CenSE Director Stephen Osborne. “First it reflects the growth of CenSE initiatives and the need for further support in delivering them. And second it reflects the huge contribution that Dr Flemig has already made to CenSE, and will continue to make in the future.”
“Her work in developing the teaching and learning porfolio of CenSE has been notable, as has her contribution to engaging with practice – particularly around co-production and value co-creation in public services delivery. I look forward to this contribution continuing and growing in import for the School”.
Sophie Flemig was previously Research Fellow for the European LIPSE programme on social innovation. She is now Early Career Fellow in Service Management in CenSE and has been instrumental in delivering the new postgraduate course in Service Management, as well as designing an undergraduate one for delivery next year.
She is also the co-organiser, with Stephen Osborne, of the upcoming 2018 International Research Society for Public Management (IRSPM) conference that CenSE will be hosting in the Business School.
