Kirsty will take up a position at Audit Scotland while Tie will start his career as a Lecturer at the University of Greenwich. Both Kirsty and Tie did their PhD at the University of Edinburgh Business School.
Kirsty completed her doctoral studies in 2013 and rejoined the Business School in January 2018 as a Research Fellow on the Horizon 2020 project 'CoVAL'. Since January 2020, Kirsty has also been working as a Teaching Fellow and has been tasked with designing an online postgraduate course on 'Service Excellence' for schools across the University. In 2021, she has successfully designed and delivered an online undergraduate course 'Understanding and Delivering Public Services'.
Tie commenced his doctoral studies in 2016 with a CenSE doctoral scholarship. In 2021, he successfully defended his thesis, titled 'Understanding Public and Private Value: The Case of Carbon Reduction Projects in Edinburgh’ and passed his Viva with minor corrections.
Both of them have made outstanding contributions to CenSE and the School through teaching and scholarship roles. Best of luck to Kirsty and Tie on their new journeys, and thanks for all of their work with CenSE and more importantly their collegiality and friendship.
