In September, Tie was invited as a speaker for the Academic Job Workshop: Navigating the Market (online), a joint session organised by several Chinese–American public administration research associations, including CAAPA, CPSG, ESCN, and SCPA. The workshop focused on navigating the academic job market and academic career development, attracting around 50 PhD students and early-career scholars from the United States.

In December, Tie was invited to deliver a commissioned online lecture titled “From Research Interests to Scholarly Inquiry: Questions, Processes, and Enjoyment in Management Research”, organised by the School of Management at Lanzhou University. The lecture attracted around 80 students across different levels.
